Instructions
Suspicious drone
If you see or discover a suspicious object (including a military drone), report it immediately by calling 112 (+372 600 0112 when calling from abroad). If the object seems suspicious but you're not sure what it is, report it anyway.
What to do if you see a suspicious drone flying?
- Ensure your safety first! Even if you're not sure what the object is and there's no official information, you should still assess the potential threat and act cautiously if you see a suspicious flying object.
- Immediately notify the emergency response centre by calling 112 (+372 600 0112 calling from abroad)!
- You can also report a suspicious flying object to the Defence Forces via the "Ole Valmis" mobile app. See instructions here.
- If you hear sirens or receive an EE-ALARM alert instructing you to take shelter, do so immediately! Stay in a safe place (preferably a room with solid walls, away from doors and windows) until an official announcement confirms the danger has passed. Seek more information at www.kriis.ee or by calling the state helpline 1247.
What to do if you find a suspicious drone?
- Do not approach it! Treat it as you would an explosive device – any unknown object could be dangerous.
- Immediately notify the emergency response centre by calling 112 (+372 600 0112 calling from abroad)!
- Move away from the object to ensure your own safety and warn others nearby. Do not allow anyone near the discovered item.
- Do not share the location of the object on social media – this helps prevent curious crowds from gathering at the scene and reduces the risk to others.
- There is no direct military threat to Estonia but as the war continues on the other side of our eastern border, these kinds of alerts may come. Air hazards are issued aby the Defence Forces. If you receive an EE-ALARM alert, take it seriously and follow the instructions.
If you receive an alert about a possible air hazard:
- Continue your regular activities but stay alert.
- If you do not see or hear a drone, stay alert when moving about outdoors and be ready to shelter if you notice a threat.
- If you notice a suspicious drone, find shelter immediately. Keep away from windows and doors and leave as many walls as possible between yourself and the outdoors. Notify 112 of a suspicious drone.
- Keep a charged phone at hand and follow the official instructions.
- You can find more information from kriis.ee or 1247.
- Air hazard alerts are issued by the Defence Forces. If you receive and EE-ALARM alert from the Defence Forces with instructions to find shelter immediately and/or the sirens go off, follow these instructions:
- Shelter immediately in the same indoor space you are at. If you are outdoors, find the nearest indoor space, lower floor or more protected spot to shelter. While indoors, keep away from windows and doors and leave as many walls as possible between yourself and the outdoors.
- Keep a charged phone at hand and follow the official instructions until the threat has passed.
- You can get the decisions about further instructions, the operations of institutions and other issues from the official channels.
- You can get more information from kriis.ee or 1247.
